Senior PHP Developer

Location: Colombia

Summary:
PHP developer needed with 6-8 years of programming experience. Individual must possess excellent PHP programming, Web services, Database design and Database optimization skills. Experience with PostgreSQL database development and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be able to understand and produce coding projects with minimal supervision.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with project managers to implement new features and enhancements that will affect written applications.
• Design code modules that scale well under heavy load.
• Work with QA analysts to resolve issues before going live.
• Solid SQL and relational database knowledge.
• HTML fluency.
• Understanding how high volume and a load-balanced environment can affect coding approach.
• Self-motivated problem solver.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Individual will also be responsible for supervising overall application development and deliverables.
• Will guide, supervise and work closely with other team members.

Required Experience:

• Working knowledge of the following languages and technologies. PHP, PostgreSQL, Shell script, Web Development (Apache, Javascript, CSS, User interface designs, Data extractions, reporting, and exportation, Linux).
• Strong experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment.
• Individual must be self-starter, good communicator, and able to work within a small team.
• Individual must possess strong analytical and leadership skills.
